A helping hand for a good cause

Soresto Group is pleased to participate in the 2017 benefit dinner for the Quebec Pond of the Honorable Order of the Blue Goose, International.
"Every year, the Quebec Pond of HOBGI gives thousands of dollars to different charities selected by its members. Giving back to our community is integral to the core values of Soresto, and this benefit dinner is the perfect opportunity to combine business with pleasure," explains Pénélope Durand, CEO of Soresto Group.
The event, which features a lobster dinner, will be held at New City Gas in Montreal at 5:00 p.m. This Griffintown venue was built in 1859 and originally served as a complex to transform coal into gas for lighting Montreal's streets. After being abandoned for many years, this heritage complex was completely renovated into event halls and re-opened in 2012.
About HOBGI
The Honorable Order of the Blue Goose, International, was founded in 1906 in Green Lake, Wisconsin. The Quebec chapter was founded in 1914 and today has over 220 members.
Originally open exclusively to fire insurance representatives, executives, and underwriters, the HOBGI now has close to 6,000 members in Canada and the United States, all involved in various fields of the insurance industry. Its basic tenets are volunteerism, charity, and fellowship.
The HOBGI provides opportunities for the many people working in the insurance industry to meet socially and not as part of any industry group.
